Description	:	Dr. James Silas Kolb was born in Loundes County, Mississippi in 1864. He moved to Arkansas in 1878 with his parents, John E. and Artelia Kolb. Dr. Kolb graduated from the State University at Little Rock, Arkansas. He did his medical studies in New Orleans and Chicago. After finishing school, he practiced medicine at Smedley, Arkansas and lastly, at Clarksville, Arkansas. On November 16,1887 James Silas married Mollie Virginia Clark. Cornelia Alice passed away on February 17, 1909. Then he married Anna Lafayette Fontaine on December 25, 1909. He had no children with either of these two women. Dr. Kolb was a Mason and a Presbyterian.
