Description	:	Ed Korrey, 74, of Iliff, died in Sterling Tuesday, April 6, 1993. Visitation and viewing began at 11 a.m. today in the Chaney Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ivan Rundus and Lay Pastor Assistant Debbie Hessler will con duct the services. Mr. Korry was born May 4, 1918, near Iliff, the son of John and Mabel Maloush Korrey. He grew up near Iliff, graduating from Iliff High School in 1936. He married Hazel Jacob Sept. 29, 1946, in Cozad, Neb. The Korreys farmed, ranched and fed cattle near Iliff after their marriage. Mr. Korrey was a member and deacon in the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling. Prominent and active in the Iliff community, he was a charter member of the Iliff Lions Club, a past Logan County ASCS committeeman, and was an ardent fan of Iliff, and later Caliche, school sports. Mr. Korrey is survived by his wife, Hazel, of Iliff; daughter Donna Hacker and husband Fred of Denver; Sons Don Korrey and wife Barbara of, and Jim Korrey and wife Shannon, all of Iliff; sister Mary May of Sterling; brothers Mike Korrey and wife Eva, George Korrey and wife Minnie, and Dave Korrey and wife Dottie, all of Sterling; and six grandchildhen. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Contributions in Mr. Korrey's name can be made to the Ed Korrey Memorial Fund. Cards for that purpose are available in the Chaney-Walters chapel.
