Mr. Erway, 78, was born May 7, 1894, and died March 30, 1973 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Larned, Kansas. He was married to Hermenia Bruntzel Aug. 20, 1919, in Rozel, KS and was a retired farmer and longtime resident of Larned. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1928. Read More	Obit for Edgar Earl Erway Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Beckwith Mortuary Chapel for Edgar E. Erway of Larned. Mr. Erway, 78, was born May 7, 1894, and died March 30, 1973 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Larned, Kansas. He was married to Hermenia Bruntzel Aug. 20, 1919, in Rozel, KS and was a retired farmer and longtime resident of Larned. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1928. Since that time he was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Larned and served as deacon for many years. He is survived by his widow Hermenia; one son, Harold of Larned; one daughter, Mrs. Velda Updegrove, Lewis; one brother, Melvin, Detroit, Mich.; two sisters: Mrs. Alice Lane, Tucson, Ariz.; and Mrs. Letha Walker, Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Verda; a son, Marvin; and a daughter, Ersel; and by his father, Oscar; mother, Amanda; one brother, Harvey; and two sisters: Clara King and Edna Coonrod, Edna was Edgar's twin sister and she died just a few hours after her brother Edgar. Casket bearers were Jay Beachel, Ronald Bird, Basil Dennis, Willard Jenkins, Thomas Renshaw, and Clarence Smith. The Rev. Kenneth D. Cain officiated at the services. The topic of the message was taken from I Cor. 15:49-55. Rev. Cain spoke on, "The Way to Real Life." During the message Rev. Cain quoted what Mr. Erway had spoken to him in tears of joy only a few weeks ago, while they were making sick calls. The statement was, "I don't know what people do without the blessing of God in their life." *Burial was in Larned, Kansas Cemetery.
