Survivors include two sons, Leonard of Des Moines, a brother, Fred Higens of Des Moines, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. # # # 1915 - Spring Hill - The wedding of Miss Edith Higgins [Higens] and Mr. Guy Vancil occurred Wednesday of last week at Des Moines. The young people are well known in this community, Miss Higgins [Higens] being one of the Spring Hill's very charming young ladies. Mr. Vancil is an estimable young man of Norwalk and has built for his bride, a nice new cottage and the young people will soon be at home to their many friends in their own new home at Norwalk. They have the best wishes of all the Spring Hill people for a long and happy life. # # # Edith's husband, Guy Vancil, died June 25, 1970, Dallas Center, Ia. He is buried at Norwalk Cemetery.
