Description	:	Edith Joyce Wilber, 89, New Town, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley. Edith was born on November 12, 1925 at Van Hook, the daughter of Tobias and Charlotte (Hartland) Wadholm. She was raised on the family farm and educated at Van Hook. On December 3, 1943 she was united in marriage to Leslie Wilber in Phoenix, Arizona. She then moved to Long Beach, California for a few years during World War II while Leslie served his country. Read More	Edith Joyce Wilber, 89, New Town, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley. Edith was born on November 12, 1925 at Van Hook, the daughter of Tobias and Charlotte (Hartland) Wadholm. She was raised on the family farm and educated at Van Hook. On December 3, 1943 she was united in marriage to Leslie Wilber in Phoenix, Arizona. She then moved to Long Beach, California for a few years during World War II while Leslie served his country. She worked in a factory on tubes for tires for airplanes and trucks. Following the war, they returned to North Dakota and made their home at Van Hook. She taught school at Howie Township Country School, south of Van Hook. Edith’s passion during her life was selling Avon which she started in 1968. She won numerous awards for being the top saleswoman as a District Representative. She would win cups, saucers, plates, trips and numerous other items for her achievements. She was well known and made many friends during the 43 years she sold Avon products. Edith was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and served on its ladies aid. She was an active member of the New Town community and was integral in the opening of the swimming pool. She enjoyed sewing and did upholstery including working on the church pews at Bethel Lutheran. She liked to play cards, especially canasta and gin rummy. She also liked to watch old western movies and Pro Bull Riding rodeos. Most of all, Edith cherished spending time with her family. Edith is survived by: her sons, Bill Wilber (Edna Sailor) of New Town, Tom Wilber of Shakopee, Minnesota and Terry Wilber (Marcia) of New Town; grandchildren, Dawn Wilber, Adam Wilber, Dominic Wilber, Peter Wilber (Lisa), Dana White Owl (Virgil), Mike Wilber (Tabitha) and Jesse Wilber (Wendy); Nine great grandchildren; sister, Mavis Slind (Dale) of Jamestown and sister-in-law, Arlyn Wadholm of New Town, Marty Wilber of California and Lenora Cullen of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie who died on April 23, 1989; sisters, Marie Dahl, Hjordis Haar, Louise McKay, Myrtle Waller and Gertie Hornaday; and brother, Theodore Wadholm.
