Description	:	Edith Bryant Edith P. Bryant, 86, of Wapello died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born March 23, 1924, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Elmer and Emma Wagner Fuget. She was raised by her grandparents, Joe and Anna Wagner on a farm in Dodgeville. On July 25, 1942, she married Harold R. Bryant in Kahoka, Mo. He died Nov. 30, 1977. Mrs. Bryant processed turkey for Selboys in Burlington, and worked in production at H. J. Heinz in Muscatine and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown. She helped with the senior... Read More	Edith Bryant Edith P. Bryant, 86, of Wapello died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born March 23, 1924, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Elmer and Emma Wagner Fuget. She was raised by her grandparents, Joe and Anna Wagner on a farm in Dodgeville. On July 25, 1942, she married Harold R. Bryant in Kahoka, Mo. He died Nov. 30, 1977. Mrs. Bryant processed turkey for Selboys in Burlington, and worked in production at H. J. Heinz in Muscatine and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown. She helped with the senior citizen meals program in Wapello. She moved with her husband to Wapello in 1946. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, puzzle books and solitaire. Survivors include one son, Richard Bryant of Wapello; one daughter, Mary Clester of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren; one step grandchild; 27 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Thomas Fuget of Spokane, Wash., and James Fuget of Fort Madison; and one half -sister, Sharon Schiver of Copperas Cove, Texas. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and her parents. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The graveside funeral for Mrs. Bryant will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Old Stone Cemetery in rural Sperry with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating.
