Mrs. Mitchell born in Buffalo S.C. May 22 1942 a daughter of the late James Hiram and Lovonia Davis Holt She had been employed with Her Majesty was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Buffalo and a member of The Hardee's Breakfast Club. Survivors include three sons, Jamie Mitchell of Buffalo, Tommy Driggers and wife Debbie of Buffalo, Dr. Tim Driggers and wife Kaye of Lake Murry S.C., one brother Billy Ray Holt and wife Pearlee of Buffalo, two sisters Laverne Holt of Buffalo, Yvonne Gregory of Union, two sisters-in-law Clara Holt, Merle Mitchell, one brother-in-law George Mitchell and wife Betty, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by two brothers J.W. Holt and Bobby Holt. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20th 2009 at 2:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Burgess and Dr. Tim Driggers officiating. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday June 19th, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund 308 Linersville Rd. Buffalo S.C. 29321. The family is at the home of her sister 134 Buffalo St. Buffalo S.C., and at the home of her sons 211 Smith Rd. Buffalo S.C. The Lewis Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
