Clarke, former Highwood area resident, died Friday in Seattle, Wash. He was 82. Funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon at the Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Beck, Great Falls, and Benton Lodge No. 25 AF&Am officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery here. Mr. Clarke was born in Springfield, Mass., in 1884. Jacob Beck, Great Falls, and Benton Lodge No. 25 AF&Am officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery here. Mr. Clarke was born in Springfield, Mass., in 1884. He came to Montana in 1910 and Oct. 20, 1915, married Barbara Harris at Fort Benton. They ranched on Highwood creek at the Shelternook ranch from 1917 to 1921 when Mr. Clarke returned to construction work. From 1937 for many years he was associated with the Central Machinery Co. at Great Falls and Billings, until retirement in 1964. Mrs. Clarke died April 20, 1951. After retirement he divided his residency between the ranch of his son, John H. Clarke, at Lewistown, and with Dr. E. R. Clarke, Jr., in Seattle. Other survivors include a brother, James Clarke, Yonkers, N. Y., and six grandchildren. ..........
