Sackrison, age 92, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away at the Augustana Nursing Home in Minneapolis on Monday, August 26, 1991, where she had been since 1988. She was born on December 2, 1898 in Stratford, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Carolina (Israelson) Sackrison. She was a Junior High School teacher in Lake Mills, Iowa and retired from teaching after 30 years. Sackrison, age 92, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away at the Augustana Nursing Home in Minneapolis on Monday, August 26, 1991, where she had been since 1988. She was born on December 2, 1898 in Stratford, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Carolina (Israelson) Sackrison. She was a Junior High School teacher in Lake Mills, Iowa and retired from teaching after 30 years. She then worked or was employed by the Lutheran Hospital (now named Trinity Lutheran Hospital) and later by the Friendship Haven Home, both of Fort Dodge, Iowa and later in Minneapolis, for the Salvation Army. She was a volunteer worker for the Crossroads for many years and a member of the First Augustana Lutheran Church, both of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Ansel Sackrison of Stratford, nieces and nephews. Services were held Thursday, August 29, 1991 at 1:30 p.m. in the Stratford Lutheran Church with Rev. Jenny Edinger and Rev. Roger Ose officiating. Interment will be in Hardin Township Cemetery, rural Stratford. Ardelle Phipps and Eldon Anderson were organist and soloist. Pallbearers were Embert Carlson, Jim McCollum, John Stark, Marion Carlson, Dean Wahman, Ivyl Carlson, Eldren Carlson and Dale Youngberg. Memorials may be given to the Stratford Lutheran Church in Stratford or the First Augustana Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
