Description	:	Georgetown Times Aug 26 1967 Mrs ER Plowden died unexpectedly Friday in Chester Mrs. Edna Tillman Daggett Plowden of 731 Prince Street widow of Edwin Ruthven Plowden died unexpectedly early Friday morning August 18 at the residence of her daughter in Chester where she had gone for a visit earlier that week. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock in Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church. Officiating was the rector the Rev Melvin Richardson Hyman. Mrs. Plowden daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman Daggett and the late Mrs. Charlotte Vereen Daggett was born in Conway on March 16 1891. As a young child she moved to Georgetown with her family and had spent her entire lifetime here. She was a member of Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church and a member of the Women of the Church. Her husband who died in 1956 was an outstanding Masonic Leader in this area. Surviving are two daughters Mrs DC (Charlotte)Wylie of Chester and Miss Harriet Plowden of Georgetown three grandsons a brother Thomas W Daggett of Charlotte a sister Mrs. Mary D Keels of Greeleyville; a half brother Walter E Daggett of Georgetown; four half sisters Mrs. Steve James of Jacksonville Fla Mrs Murrell Randall and Mrs WF Phillips both of Kingstree and several nephews and nieces.
