Wife of Harry Barker. ------------ Fairfield Ledger Monday April 25, 1988 Edna Barker funeral Tuesday The service for Edna Mae Barker, 63, 122 South Main St., who died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 1988, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center after a short illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to First Lutheran Church and the American Cancer Society. Mrs, Barker was born June 24, 1924, at Eldon,the daughter of Lloyd and Izetta Allen Steiner. She grew up and attended school in Eldon. She married Harry E. Barker Aug. 4, 1841, at Kahoka, Mo., and had lived in Fairfield since 1946. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, and for years was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She had worked for the last two years at the Young America Shop. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mary Kelly of Fairfield; a son, Mike of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her psrents preceeded her in death.
