Funeral services were conducted from the Chapman-Higby Chapel on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. David Tudor officiating. W. H. Menzie, accompanied by Mrs. C. L. Whitney, sang, "End of a Perfect Day" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Edna Maud Kline, daughter of David and Ada Kline, was born in Orville precinct, Hamilton county, December 31, 1885, and passed away at the Grand Island hospital Thursday morning, January 28, 1943, at the age of 57 years and 27 days. On February 17, 1909, she was married to Ellis Lancaster at Aurora, Nebr. Three daughters, of whom all are living, were born to this union. Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster spent most of their married life in York county and came to Aurora to make their home in the year 1930. Mrs. Lancaster was educated in the Hampton and Aurora schools and joined the Methodist church at the age of 16. She is preceded in death by her husband who passed away January 19, 1942; also by her parents and two brothers, Claude and Roy. Those left to mourn her passing are her three daughters, Mrs Gladys Duff of Grand Island, Mrs. Ada Smith of Aurora, and Mrs. Marlene Gentzler of York, Nebr.; one sister, Mrs. Joel Norseen of Aurora; also nine grandchildren, and neighbors and friends. Pall bearers were John Smith, Tom Smith, Wm. Brigham, Ern Neson [sic], Orville Duff of Grand Island and Harry Kelly. Interment was in the Aurora cemetery. ____________________
