She died after a brief illness on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 2 days. She died after a brief illness on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 2 days. Edna spent her childhood years in North Carolina and Virginia. She moved back to the Macedonia area and attended school, graduating from high school at Carson, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Dale McMullen on January 11, 1934 at Springfield, Nebraska. They lived on a farm north of Wales until moving into Red Oak in l995. She helped Dale on the farm for many years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Red Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Edna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dale McMullen of Red Oak, Iowa, 3 sons, Jimmie D. McMullen and his wife Nina of Woodland, California, Tim McMullen of Henderson, Iowa and Gene McMullen and his wife Dianne of Clarinda, Iowa, a daughter, Donna Rae Baker and her husband Lowell of Minden, Iowa, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Grace McClellan of Vista, California, other relatives and a host of friends. May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn.
