The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 14 June 1950 Esteemed County Matron Passed Away on Thursday Mrs. Edna Ree Gregg, wife of Lloyd Gregg of Highwood, passed away suddenly at St. Clare hospital in this city Thursday morning. A daughter was born to the Greggs at the hospital Monday, June 5th, and Mrs. Gregg was getting along just fine and was visiting when a blood clot formed and she passed away. The news of her death cast a pall of gloom over relatives and many friends as her death was so unexpected. Mrs. Gregg was held in high esteem by all who knew her and she took an active part in the community and church activities. Her death will be mourned by the entire community. Mrs. Gregg was born at Highwood on Oct. 7, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Bert Scott and Mrs. Scott of Highwood. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Gregg in this city in 1939. To this union were born four children: Helen, 10, Beverly, 7, Bobby, 3, and the infant daughter. She is survived by the husband, children and her mother, one brother, Orville, and one sister, Lois, of Highwood. Her father passed away four or five years ago. Funeral services were held from the Benton Funeral Home chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. William P. Grunow, pastor of the Lutheran church. The services were attended by a large number of neighbors and friends from the Highwood section. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern Star lodge. The Eastern Star chapter assisted with the services. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.
