Description	:	Obsequies over the body of the late Ed Enarson were held Saturday afternoon of last week at one o’clock from the home about three miles northeast of Villisca. Rev. E. S. Mencher of the local Methodist Church had charge of the services. Burial was made in the local cemetery. The following obituary was read at the funeral services. Edward Enarson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Enarson, who for many years lived in the vicinity north of Villisca, was born in Illinois, November 17, 1868 and died at his home almost three miles northeast of Villisca on Thursday morning, February 5, 1920 at 7:15 o’clock at the age of 51 years, 3 months, and 6 days, the cause of his death being the effects of influenza. On September 26, 1891, he was united in marriage to Celia Nelson of Adams County. To this union four children were born, the eldest son having died in infancy. The wife and three children, Elmo of Gravity vicinity, and Nellie and Paul at home, lived to mourn the death of a loving husband and father. Besides his immediate family he is survived by four brothers and one sister of the surrounding locality and many dear friends and acquaintances. Mr. Enarson was a faithful member of the I.O.O.F. and auxiliary lodge and the order of M.W.A. It is most dafe to say that there was not a man in Montgomery County who was more widely known than the deceased and he numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He was always ready to lend a hand to relieve the sick and afflicted and his life was one of unselfishness and tender sympathy for others. Villisca Review, Friday, February 13, 1920, page 5
