Description	:	According to his obituary, Edward was a son of William and Harriet Douglas. Harriet is buried in the same Douglas plot as Edward and two of his siblings. The whereabouts of the father, however, are not known. It appears that Harriet Douglas may have married a William Douglas, who shared the same name as her father and brother, causing some confusion.
