Read More	Stratford Courier June 26, 1930 OBITUARY Edward Hall Edward Hall, son of John and Margaret Hall, was born at Stratford, on November 22, 1862. He passed away at his home here June 21, 1930, at the age of 67 years, 6 months, 29 days. Fifty-seven years of his life was spent on his farm, south of Stratford. Ten years ago he moved to Stratford where he resided until his death. Deceased was united in marriage to Miss Anna Borg August 25, 1887 and there were five children born to this union. Mr. Hall was a man known to every one in this community as being honest, upright and courteous in all his business affairs. As a farmer he was one of the best in the community and after his retirement from the farm he has kept himself busy with business affairs in connection with his old homestead. As a citizen he was one which the community could ill afford to lose, and as a husband and father he was honored and beloved by his wife and children as an exemplary man of the best of habits. He was a hard worker and was known for his honesty and integrity. For forty-three years he had been a faithful member of the South Marion M.E. church. For some time he had not been in good health and for the last few weeks had suffered with heart trouble which was the immediate cause of his death. Those of his family, who remain to sorrow at his passing and to cherish his memory, are, his wife; three sons, Elmer, of Des Moines, Edgar and Martin, of Stratford; two daughters, Mrs. M.E. Pomeroy, of Stratford, and Mrs. William Hartshorn, of Des Moines; six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. H.B. Stromert, of Wilmar, Minn. One sister and a brother have preceded him in death. Besides the relatives a wide circle of friends in the community mourn the death of a true and kindly man. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence and at 2:30 o'clock from the South Marion M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Carl Jensen, of Boxholm, assisted by Rev. A.R. Sandberg, pastor of the South Marion church. Interment was made in the South Marion cemetery.
