Description	:	Obituary-- "Born in Nordre Land, Torpen, Norway. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith in infancy and was confirmed in the year of 1873. In 1878 he was united in marriage to Inger Andria Bjonsrud. To this union eight children were born. Two little girls and his wife have preceded him to the great beyond. He immigrated to America in the spring of 1882 and located in the Soldier Valley where he has lived ever since. He joined the Lutheran Church of Soldier shortly after coming here and has been a faithful member of this church... Read More	Obituary-- "Born in Nordre Land, Torpen, Norway. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith in infancy and was confirmed in the year of 1873. In 1878 he was united in marriage to Inger Andria Bjonsrud. To this union eight children were born. Two little girls and his wife have preceded him to the great beyond. He immigrated to America in the spring of 1882 and located in the Soldier Valley where he has lived ever since. He joined the Lutheran Church of Soldier shortly after coming here and has been a faithful member of this church since that time. Mr. Berg was a quiet, peaceful loving man and was always honest in all his dealings. He was stricken with a heart attack about nine o'clock Saturday evening, May 21 and passed away shortly before midnight at the age of 74 years and 3 days. Two sons and four daughters live to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father. They are: Hans, Mrs. (Rachel) Holden Thoreson, Mrs. (Minnie) Andrew Navrude, and Clara and Esther, all of Soldier and Nels of Moorhead. Also, nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends." "TWO BROTHERS DIE A FEW HOURS APART Death claimed Sever and Ed Berg of Soldier, Saturday evening. These men were brothers and were pioneer settlers in the Soldier Valley. Sever Berg had been seriously ill for several months with heart trouble and his death was expected. He died about five o'clock. He was seventy one years old. Ed Berg had apparently been enjoying good health and made his customary trip down town Saturday night. He was sitting in front of the Oscar Tanberg jewelry store and fell over with heart failure. He was taken to Dr. Junger's office and later to his home where he died at eleven o'clock. Mr. Berg had been troubled with high blood pressure but his condition was not thought to be at all serious. He was seventy-four years old."
