Description	:	Edward Paul "Eddie" Gartner Sr., 63, Reno, Nev., formerly of Topeka, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1992, at a Reno hospital. Mr. Gartner was a sheet metal worker several years at the Santa Fe Railyway shops in Topeka. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was born Oct. 14, 1929 at Topeka, the son of John and Rose Bervert Gartner. Read More	Edward Paul "Eddie" Gartner Sr., 63, Reno, Nev., formerly of Topeka, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1992, at a Reno hospital. Mr. Gartner was a sheet metal worker several years at the Santa Fe Railyway shops in Topeka. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was born Oct. 14, 1929 at Topeka, the son of John and Rose Bervert Gartner. Mr. Gartner was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a life member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 555, both in Topeka, and a member of an American Legion post and Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local No 104. His wife, Bonnie Gartner, survives. A son, Edward Gartner Jr., preceded him in death. Other survivors include a son, Michal Gartner, Las Vegas, and three sisters, Marie Burghart, Sophia Schiefelbein, and Anna Folds, all of Topeka. Mr. Gartner was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Masonic Memory Gardens Chapel in Mountain View Cemetery at Reno. Inurnment is pending. A memorial rosary will be recited for family and friends at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Church of the Assumption in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
