Read More	Marie Catherine Burghart, 71, Topeka, died Friday, March 21, 1997 at a Topeka hospital. She was born June 18, 1925 in Topeka, the daughter of John and Rose Berwert Gartner. She lived most of her life in Topeka. Mrs. Burghart was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Altar Society at the church and the Daughter of Isabella. She also was a member of Women of the Moose. She married LeRoy G. Burghart on Jan. 30, 1946 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Rose Ann Blanton and Carolyn McMullen, both of Topeka; a sister, Sophia Schiefelbein, Topeka; four grand-children; and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Burghart was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Justin and Jason McMullen, Oct. 10, 1977. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Davidson Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. and a D of I rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 227 S.W. Van Buren, Topeka.
