Description	:	Edward Geise, the eldest son of William Frederick (b. 1849), bought the west half of section five from an uncle, Lawrence Geise, and built a small one-room house, which is now used as a blacksmith shop. In 1909, on Feb. 26, Edward married Marie Seefeldt, daughter of Chris Seefeldt, and the couple built up the place. Edward W. Geise enjoyed farming. At first he farmed with horses, then in 1926 he got his first tractor and threshing machine. His car was a 1919 Overland. Mrs. Geise passed away quietly on the night of June 7, 1969, and after that Mr. Geise lost all interest in living, following his wife in death Oct. 9, 1969. They both rest in peace in Hague Cemetery.
