Description	:	Edwin G. Oberhaus, 91, of Napoleon, passed away August 15, 2012, at Northcrest. He was born on February 17, 1921, in Freedom Township to George H. and Elizabeth (Buchenberg) Oberhaus. He married Alyce Huber on October 1, 1950. Ed was president and, along with his wife, owner of Napoleon Spring Works from 1963 until September 1, 1987, when he sold to Napoleon/Lynx, a Montreal Canada Corporation, where he was a former president. He was born on February 17, 1921, in Freedom Township to George H. and Elizabeth (Buchenberg) Oberhaus. He married Alyce Huber on October 1, 1950. Ed was president and, along with his wife, owner of Napoleon Spring Works from 1963 until September 1, 1987, when he sold to Napoleon/Lynx, a Montreal Canada Corporation, where he was a former president. Ed additionally was an incorporator, treasurer and 25 percent former owner of Arrow Tru-Line, president and owner of Oberhaus Enterprises Inc., with his wife, Alyce, serving as vice president. Along with his wife and children, Lisa and Lori, he was also the former owner of Oberhaus Cars and Collectables, that included a collection of many dolls, buggies, tools, compacts, evening bags, hair receivers, farm tools, and much more. Ed owned 46 Cadillacs, seven Pierce Arrows, two Model Ts, Frankling, Marmon, Rolls Royce and Jaguar, among many others. He was an avid member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Napoleon. He was a member of many organizations, including the American Legion Post 300, life member, Napoleon Mason (Master) 32nd Degree, Henry County Scottish Rite Association, Napoleon Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary, the Veteran Motor Car Club of America, Defiance Chapter VMCC of America, Cadillac-Lasalle Club, Classic Car Club of America, Napoleon VFW 8218, life member, Zenobia Temple Shrine in Toledo, former board member of Peoples State Bank, the Lutheran Home and Tiffin Valley National Bank, as well as a former trustee and board president of Northwest Community College. Ed was an honorary life member of door and operator dealer association. He was a graduate of Lasalle University, Chicago. Surviving are his loving wife, Alyce; daughters, Lisa Wulff and Lori (Jeff) Sharpe; grandchildren, Heather (Daryl) O'berg, Amber (Nate) Lucas, Nicole (Nic) Shank, Benjamin (Theresa) Wulff, Charles Edwin (Kelly) Piercefield and Desiree Piercefield; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Niles; brothers, Elden and Walter Oberhaus; and sister, Alta Warncke. Friends will be received in the Walker Mortuary, 333 W. Main St., Napoleon, on Saturday, August 18, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Emanuel Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 19, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Napoleon Township Cemetery.
