Description	:	"Funeral services for Edward M. Lipphardt, former Ferry councilman and veteran printer who died suddenly in his home, 1014 S. Zane highway--Tuesday afternoon from gas poisoning, will be privately conducted in the Heslop and Sons mortuary home, Walnut St., Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Acting Coroner Ben Morris said that Lipphardt was preparing to return to work when he met death. Gas fumes in the bathroom of the Lipphardt home caused the victim to lose consciousness and when he was found by members of his family, was prostrate on the floor. He served several terms in council and during his last term was elected president pro tem. Surviving members of his family include his wife, Eva Hughes Lipphardt, and four children, Letitia, Albert, Hughes and Richard, all at home, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Robert Vatters, Tiltonville; William, Wheeling; August, Moundsville; Mrs. James Mcgee, Walter; Mrs. Henry Burris and Raoul, all of Martins Ferry."
