Body Will lie in State at home From 2 to 3 Tomorrow The funeral services for the late mrs James Truitt will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the family home, 305 North Steuben avenue. The services will be in charge of the Rev I M Benham, pastor of the First Methodist Church of which Mrs Truitt was a member. Burial will be made in Elmwood. The body will lie in state at the home from 2 to 3 o'clock. Mrs Truitt was born November 2, 1842, near Portsmouth, Ohio. She was married Dec 19, 1861 to James L. Truitt. To this union five children were born, three of whom are living, Miss May of the home address, Guy of this city and Walter of Topeka. One brother survives who lives in New Haven, Conn. Four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren survive. Rex, her great grandson, lives at the Truitt home. The Truitt's came to Kansas in 1878 and established a greenhouse in Chanute in 1880 and since that time have been in the business continously. Mrs Truitt has not been well for years and did not go away from home but always met her friends with a cheery smile and was constantly trying to help the needy. Her husband died in February, 1914, and William, a son, died the following month. Mrs and Mrs Truitt came to Chanute from Kentucky.
