Read More	Funeral for Mrs. De Pree at Sioux Center, Monday Mrs. Seine B. De Pree, for many years a Sioux Center resident, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Owen Manning of Rock Valley on Thursday, November 18, 1943, at the age of 64 years. She became ill several months ago when she suffered a stroke which paralysed her body and left her completely helpless. The last few months she was cared for at the home of her daughter, where she passed away. Mrs. De Pree, born Elena Hyink, was bor in Milwaukee, Wis., on March 24, 1879, and came to Sioux county with her parents in 1884 living on a farm near Newkirk. On August 12, 1903, she was united in marriage to Mr. Seine De Pree and made her home continuously from then on until 1939 at Sioux Center, with the exception of two years - 1926-1928 - which were spent at Holland, Mich. After the death of her husband in 1939 she made her home with her daughter Lucille, now Mrs. Manning of Rock Valley. Surviving are four children, Dr. James De Pree of Oak Park, Ill.; Bernard of Holland, Mich.; Dr. Warren De Pree of Potlatch, Idaho; and Mrs. Owen Manning of Rock Valley. Also six grandchildren and five brothers and two sisters, Mrs. John Walvord of Gresham. Neb.; Mrs. Albert Balkema of Orange City; John Hyink of Sioux City; Jim Hyink of Hospers; Henry Hyink of Glendale, Arizona; Rev. Martin Hyink of Alton: and Ben Hyink of Sheldon. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon. November 22, at the day afternoon, November 22, at the entral Reformed Church at Sioux Center with the Rev. A. Teengs officiating. Burial was made at the Sioux Center cemetery. Sioux County Index 1943-11-25.
