| Description | : | Elinor Aldridge is the third child of seven children born to William Aldridge I and his wife Elizabeth Ursula Symons in All Hollows Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She married Thomas York about 1747 in Terrapin Neck, Colonial Fredericks County, Virginia (now Jefferson County, West Virginia) near the Potomac River. Following the tragedies of the French and Indian War the York's migrated south west in a wagon train with other families down the Shenandoah Valley.
