Description	:	Elisabeth was born in Zeyersvorderkampen, West Prussia. She married Franz Thimm, who died and was buried in West Prussia. Even though the area is today Poland, she considered her native home to be West Prussia, and spoke German. She traveled with her children from Bremen on the ship S.S. Rhein, arriving in New York July 1, 1876. They stayed in an encampment in Mr. Pleasant, Iowa, and were quarantined there during a typhus epidemic. They settled at Beatrice, Nebraska.
