McCoy", of Washington, Washington county, Iowa (per online source: married J. C. Mc Coy February 19, 1884 in Jefferson Co., IA. He died 1890 in Washington Co., IA.). Eliza is buried with John J. Campbell under the "Campbell" surname, however. Sister of David Wallace Templeton --------- Note: This monument is on Old.P.128. On the west, north, and south facings are inscriptions for Campbell family members. On the east facing are inscriptions for the David Wallace Templeton family (David Wallace, his wife Sarah, their sons Elmer and Arthur). Eliza J Templeton Campbell/McCoy was a sister of David Wallace Templeton. The two siblings evidently combined resources on December 10, 1870 to establish this joint Templeton/Campbell family plot. It is probable, but not confirmed, that John J Campbell and his son Elmer were first buried in Old Fairfield Cemetery, then re-interred to this plot. Evergreen Cemetery had not been established as a cemetery until late spring of 1870, prior to their decease. ----------- Fairfield Journal: Monday, July 15, 1912 Mrs. E. J. McCoy died in Calif. Pioneer resident of Fairfield, came here in 1856. Survived by two sons, Robert W. Campbell of Los Angeles, CA, Frank Campbell of Central City, NE, and three daughters, Mrs. H. G. Pewtress of Alameda, CA, Miss Anna Campbell of OH, and Mrs. Wm. C. Ball of Fairfield
