Description	:	The Goldendale Sentinel, Aug. 22, 1935: Mrs. J. O. Young Eliza M. Myers, daughter of John and Hulda (Nunly) Myers, came to Klickitat with her parents in Sept. 1881. Her father crossed the plains to Oregon in early days and settled in Yamhill County, Oregon where he died several years later. Her mother was a native of Tennessee. Mrs. Young was born in Yamhill county, Oregon in Oct. 1867, and was educated in the public schools there established. She was married in Klickitat county at the age of 17 to J.O. Mrs. Young was born in Yamhill county, Oregon in Oct. 1867, and was educated in the public schools there established. She was married in Klickitat county at the age of 17 to J.O. Young who passed away Aug. 1934. Seven children were born to this union of which five are living. Bessie M. Tobin, Goldendale; William J. Young, Goldendale; Della M. Ward, Toppenish, Wash., John M. Young, Goldendale; Nellie Sarsfield, Vancouver, Wash., also three brothers and one sister: Alex Hamilton, Goldendale; Mary Danbrook, Glenwood, Wash.; Ariah Myers, Goldendale; Uriah Myers, Brewster, Wash. Fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. While confined in St. Joseph hospital at Vancouver, Wash. last April she was confirmed in the Catholic faith. Funeral services were held from the Holy Trinity Church, Friday morning, August 16th, at ten o'clock, with Rev. Fr. Lee officiating. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery beside her husband, who preceded her in death a little less than a year ago.
