After an illness of several months, during which time she bore her suffering patiently and with christian fortitude, Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson, wife of Mr. John Henry Nelson, died at her home in Lawsonia. Death occurred last Sunday evening, about 8 o'clock. After an illness of several months, during which time she bore her suffering patiently and with christian fortitude, Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson, wife of Mr. John Henry Nelson, died at her home in Lawsonia. Death occurred last Sunday evening, about 8 o'clock. Mrs. Nelson was a daughter of the late Dow Lawson, a prominent residnet of lower somerset County, and was 76 years of age at the time of her death. She was a good, motherly woman, a consistent christian, a kindly neighbor and a devoted friend. Her long illness, during which she was treated by specialists at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, and her subsequent death, were matters of the deepest regret to the entire community. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Mr. John Henry Nelson; one daughter, Miss Beatrice Nelson, a popular teacher in our public school; and five sons—Messrs. Edward, Christopher, Ray, Herman and Clarence Nelson, all of this community. Funeral services were held form her late home on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. T.J. Sard, pastor of Asbury M.E. Church, of which the deceased was a member, and interment was in Asbury Cemetery.
