Description	:	Mrs. Elizabeth Menard was born at Kanakee, Illinois, Oct 14, 1859, and passed on Thursday morning at 9:00, aged 64 years, 6 months, and 10 days. Her people came to Concordia, Kansas in 1880, and she was married to Napoleon Menard the following year. to this union were born four boys and four girls, all of whom are living, excepting Frank Levi, who died in 1911. Read More	Mrs. Elizabeth Menard was born at Kanakee, Illinois, Oct 14, 1859, and passed on Thursday morning at 9:00, aged 64 years, 6 months, and 10 days. Her people came to Concordia, Kansas in 1880, and she was married to Napoleon Menard the following year. to this union were born four boys and four girls, all of whom are living, excepting Frank Levi, who died in 1911. All are living in Clyde, but Mrs. Lizzie Sprague, who resides in Concordia. She also leaves to mourn her loss a faithful husband; two sisters, Mrs Sarah Ponton, of Junction City, Ks, and Mrs. Rosa Bechard, of Clyde; four half brothers, thirteen grandchildren, and many neighbors and friends. They have lived here in Clyde with us for the past 25 years and aside from rearing their household they have been the best of friends and neighbors. The old family home in the southeast part of town is now surrounded by the homes of their children, thus showing parental and filial affection. We loved her, Ah! no tongue can tell How much we loved her and how well; God loved her too and thought it best to take her to himself to rest. "Even so Father for it seemth good in Thy sight." Services were held at the Presbyterian church on Sunday at 2:30 pm conducted by Rev. Bartholomew, assisted by a mixed quartette. Loving hands then conveyed the remains from the church, and with Mr. Reid in charge interment was made in Mr. Hope cemetery.
