Mrs. Wills, whose maiden name was Miss Eliza Bowden was born in Lafayette county, WI March 15, 1852 and was the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Bowden. She was married to James Wills (deceased) at Hazel Green, Wisconsin, December 25, 1873. After a seven years residence in Wisconsin they moved to Carroll county in 1880 and settled, in what is known as the Beulah neighborhood. A few months after they moved to Carroll in 1912, Mr. Wills died and since that time Mrs. Wills has spent the greater part of the time on the farm with her children. During the last months however she has been living in her cottage which she has lately had remodeled on Adams street. Mrs. Wills was a woman who enjoyed a large friendship. She was a charter member of the Beulah Society and since childhood had been a faithful member of the Methodist church. She leaves four children to mourn her loss: William J,, Harriet (Mrs. E.W. Rogers), Ida, and Thomas B., all of Carroll county. Besides her children she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Edward, of Los Angeles, California; Thomas Bowden, of California; James Bowden, of Jackson, Michigan, and Truman Bowden, of Ellis, South Dakota.
