Buried: Oak Ridge Cemetery. ______________________________ An article published in the "Berrien County Record" newspaper, in Buchanan, MI on July 14, 1881, states the following: Mrs. W. Colvin has given the contract for building a second story addition to her house on Days Avenue, now occupied by E. Estes. ----------------------------- The 1899 Directory of Berrien County Michigan, lists Mrs. Elizabeth Colvin, a widow, living on Days Avenue, in Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan. ----------------------------------- Her death certificate states that she gave birth to five children, only four still living. (Only four children are known. Perhaps one died as an infant). ----------------------------- Elizabeth died as a widow, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 20 days. ---------------------------- See the death certificate for Elizabeth Colvin, at: www.seekingmichigan.org ----------------------------- Elizabeth is buried in Section A, lot 40, near her son Ellis F. Colvin and his wife Anna Colvin, her son Michael Peter Estes, and Anna Colvin (1886-1962). ------------------------------ Note: Elizabeth had a brother Francis Peter "Fraser" (1836-1919), who served in the Civil War, in Co. D, of the 9th Iowa Infantry. He is buried in the Fairhaven Memorial Park, in Orange County California.
