Description	:	Henry's first wife was Eliza Jane Davis. From family lore, Eliza was a daughter of a man that was aligned with a group of raiders. They tried to run Henry off of his land. Henry did not own a gun but he stood on his front porch with a pitchfork to defend his land. Apparently the raiders thought so highly of his bravery that Henry was married to the daughter, Eliza, of one of them. She was born in 1837 at Clinton and died in 1866 at Clinton.
