From family lore, Eliza was a daughter of a man that was aligned with a group of raiders. They tried to run Henry off of his land. Apparently the raiders thought so highly of his bravery that Henry was married to the daughter, Eliza, of one of them. She was born in 1837 at Clinton and died in 1866 at Clinton. She and a son, Frank William Heine, are buried in unmarked graves at Clinton Cemetery. It is believed that they are under the road next to the Heine plot. Frank was born and died in 1865. Henry and Eliza also had two other children - Mary Adaline and Sarah Elizabeth. Mary was born in October 1859 so Henry and Eliza were married somewhere around 1858. Henry's second wife was Laurancia Decia Wicks. She died at Clinton as well. Henry and Laurancia had one child - Annie L. who is buried in Clinton Cemetery. Henry's third wife was Lucy Claiborne Burks. She was born 22 May 1860 (not 1861 as the headstone says) at Big Island, Bedford County, Virginia and died 21 January 1950 in Lawrence, Kansas. I have her obituary from the Lawrence newspaper. Henry and Lucy had three children; Henry Raymond (born at Clinton, died in Lawrence), Bessie Virginia and Otis Claiborne Heine.
