Litta Walker wrote, "Once when Aunt Lizzie was visiting in Randolph, the local doctor advised her to have a small cancer removed from her lip. The surgery was performed on Sam Walker's kitchen table." Dorothy Cashatt also wrote "Some Walkers came & settled near Lincoln and are buried in a country cemetery here (Lincoln) - I have not seen the grave stones, only the record of burial." Both are buried in Scotia, Nebraska. After William's death, Lizzie lived with her son Elias.
