Read More	Link to mother sent by Ke Tope (49418903) ******************** Glasco Sun, May 25, 1916, page 2: Elizabeth Margaret Ottman died at her home at Glasco, Kansas, May 20, 1916, aged 80 years, eight months and seven days. She was born Sept. 13, 1835, at Quakenbrueck, Province of Hanover, Germany. In early childhood, her Godfearing parents brought her into covenant relationship with her God, the Father of all, by Holy baptism. She also received the rights (sic) of confirmation; and in the Lutheran church, she, early in life, took the vows of the Christian Religion. She lived in the faith and was a devoted supporter of the Lutheran church; also a faithful attendant at all of her services until providentially hindered. Elizabeth Margaret Ottman was married on October 22, 1863, at Bremen, Germany, to Fredrick Ferdinand George Gruenthal, who preceded her to the realms of eternal rest Dec. 6, 1897. Mrs. Gruenthal is survived by four children, one daughter, Mrs. Henry Studt, of Glasco; and three sons, Ferdinand Gruenthal of Raum, Ill.; George F. and Rudolph Gruenthal, both of Glasco. The oldest of her sons, Frederick Gruenthal, answered to the voice of God and the summons of death on August 6, 1901, and he, together with his father, awaited and greeted Mother Gruenthal at her home-coming at this time to be reunited in the bonds of eternal love around the great White Throne. Mrs. Gruenthal was a sufferer and invalid for many years, and during this time was well cared for by her youngest son Rudolph, and with the assistance of his devoted wife and other relatives, did all that human hands could do -- thus giving their mother the best of care. Mrs. Gruenthal is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and they all, together with the one daughter and the three sons, find their comfort in the blessed word of God; ....... The funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m., at the Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. J.H. Utesch, of New Cambria, Kan., and Rev. H. Psycholty of Beloit, Kan. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
