Read More	From The Valley Falls New Era, June 12, 1913, page 8, transcribed by Linda Berney: Death of Mrs. Isaac Ferrell - Elizabeth Mildred Marsh was born in Madison County, Kentucky, July 21, 1848, and after a short illness died at the home of her son, Larkin Ferrell, near North Cedar, Kansas, June 10, 1913, aged 64 years, 10 months and 19 days. With her parents, Pompey Marsh and wife, Elizabeth came to Kansas in the year of 1858 locating at Valley Falls. On December 18, 1864 she was married to Isaac Ferrell at Valley Falls, then Grasshopper Falls, and went to housekeeping on the farm on North Cedar which was her happy home for so many years. To this union were born seven children, four boys and three girls: George Albert Ferrell, Guthrie, Okla., Izora, Mrs. George Thompson, William Curtis Ferrell; Larkin Francis Ferrell, North Cedar; Roxalana, Mrs. Art. Bell, Waverly, Kansas; John Thomas Ferrell, Denison, Mary Ann, Mrs. Roy Stalons, Perry, Kansas; all of whom with the father are living to mourn the loss of a dear wife and fond mother. Elizabeth is survived by three brothers, Thomas, Robert and Ezekial Marsh. She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, at Gragg's Chapel in 1870 and lived a devoted Christian until her death. The funeral, attended by a large number of relatives and friends was held from Gragg's Chapel, where long she had worshiped, Thursday afternoon, Rev. Stonger, the pastor, officiating at the services. The burial was in the Chapel cemetery.
