Description	:	Stratford Courier March 26, 1908 Obituary Olofson Mrs. Elizabeth Olofson passed away at her home west of Stratford Tuesday, March 17th, 1908, after a lingering illness extending over a period of many years, the final cause of her death being due to cancer of the stomach. About a year ago she underwent an operation and came home seemingly better, but it was only temporary. Read More	Stratford Courier March 26, 1908 Obituary Olofson Mrs. Elizabeth Olofson passed away at her home west of Stratford Tuesday, March 17th, 1908, after a lingering illness extending over a period of many years, the final cause of her death being due to cancer of the stomach. About a year ago she underwent an operation and came home seemingly better, but it was only temporary. The disease seemed to have gained a firm hold on her system and she continued to grow weaker day by day until the Master called her home. She bore her suffering with patience and showed a disposition of cheerfulness through her entire illness. Deceased was born in Tonoger, Skogs socken, Helsingland, Sweden, November 2, 1847, and at the time of her death was 60 years, 4 months and 15 days old. She came to this country in 1868 and was united in marriage to Lars Olofson December 21, 1869. Her husband preceded her to the better land a few years ago. She leaves eleven children; eight boys and three girls - two sisters, twenty-five grand children and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her demise. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the residence, conducted by Rev. G.T. Peterson of Pilot Mound and the remains were interred beside those of her husband in the Swede Bend cemetery. Card of Thanks.
