The deceased had been quite ill for two months past and her death was not wholly unexpected. Mrs. Wilson would have been 69 years of age had she lived until August next. Pethoud, died at her home on Bear Creek, twelve miles northeast of the city Thursday. The deceased had been quite ill for two months past and her death was not wholly unexpected. Mrs. Wilson would have been 69 years of age had she lived until August next. She came to Nebraska thirty four years ago from Ohio, and settled in Gage County. She was the mother of twelve children, ten of whom are still living. She has been a widow nearly a quarter of a century. Mrs. Wilson was a woman widely and most favorable liked in the neighborhood of her home and throughout Gage county. The intelligence of her death will be received with universal regret. She was a woman sincerely loved by all who were privileged to enjoy her acquaintance. As an early pioneer of this section she possessed all the noble qualifications that distinguish the grand womanhood of the developing west, and in which she bore such a conspicuous and honorable part. She was content in caring for and rearing a large family, all of whom are honored citizens of this commonwealth, and as sturdy, manly men and women, are the heritage she has left to honor and perpetuate her name and teachings.
