Description	:	Mrs. Elizabeth Kahler aged 86 years, died at 9:30 o'clock p.m., Monday, July 27, following a paralytic stroke suffered the previous Wednesday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Branz, in York, with whom she had resided about twenty-one years. Deceased was born August 209, 1856, in Vogle, Narka, Russia. Following her marriage with Henry Kahler, they came to Fairmont and settled in Fairmont, where he was employed with the Burlington railway company until the time of his death, which occurred in 1910. Surviving are six daughters and three sons. They are: Mrs. Henry Branz, John and Henry Kahler, York; Mrs. Sherman Dunkin, Hallowell, Kansas; Mrs. Bryant Loomis and Mrs. W.H. Hurst, Fairmont; Mrs. Harry Larkin, Chicago; Mrs. Harry Langston, Ingelwood, California; Jacob Kahler, Fergus, Mont. Another daughter, Mrs. Herman Klausman, of Wisconsin, passed on about two years ago. Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. Barbara Yorst, Hastings; twenty-one grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at Metz Mortuary Chapel in York, with Rev. R.W. Sandsted, pastor of the Fairmont Methodist church officiating. Interment was made beside her husband in the family plot in the Fairmont cemetery. Pallbearers were three grandsons, Louis Hurst, John Hurst, Leslie Kahler, and three sons-in-law, Bryant Loomis, Harry Lakin and Henry Branz.
