Description	:	Henry Kahler was born in Wurtemberg, Germany April 1, 1856, and was married at the age of twenty-two to Miss Elizabeth Schluening of his native province. They came to Fairmont in the fall of 1890 and have made their home here almost constantly since that time. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kahler. They are Mrs. Lizzie Kluzman of Veedum, Wisconsin; Jacob of Leeton, Missouri; Mrs. W. H. Hurst, Mrs. B.D. Loomis, Kathryn, Johnny, Lena, Louise, Henry and Elizabeth, all of Fairmont. All were present at the funeral except Mrs. Kluzman. The funeral was held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Kunz, a German minister of Sutton officiating, assisted by Rev. L.R. DeWolf. The funeral was largely attended by local people and many relatives and friends were present from Sutton, Hastings and other Nebraska points. The greater portion of the service was conducted in German. Interment was made in the Fairmont cemetery. The widow and children have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in this grief which has been so suddenly visited upon them.
