| Description | : | Elizabeth moved with her parents (Christian and Maria Good Sowerwine)to Delaware Co., Indiana in 1836 from Virginia. In 1842 she married Michael Foland. They moved to Decatur County, Iowa in 1859, taking along 7 children, 3 horses, a covered wagon and a single rig. They spent their first winter in a log cabin which they built near their 40 acres of timber. The next spring they moved to their farm in Richland Twp. where they built a log house.
