Description	:	The following provided by Find a Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 3 July 1985 Elizabeth Dixon Elizabeth Thies Dixon, 92, of 121 Fifth Street N., Great Falls, died June 27 in a local hospital. She had been ill for six months before her death. Mrs. Dixon was born to John F. and Edith B. Patterson on their ranch near Montague. Read More	The following provided by Find a Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 3 July 1985 Elizabeth Dixon Elizabeth Thies Dixon, 92, of 121 Fifth Street N., Great Falls, died June 27 in a local hospital. She had been ill for six months before her death. Mrs. Dixon was born to John F. and Edith B. Patterson on their ranch near Montague. Her early childhood was spent there and she received her education in Fort Benton, graduating in 1911 from Chouteau County High School. She had studied for a year at St. Mary's Academy in Faribault, Minn., studied nursing at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls and went to secretarial school in Spokane. Thereafter, she made that her career. For several years she worked in Portland, Seattle and Ketchikan. While in Seattle during World War I, she joined the Navy as a Yeomanette and later became active in veterans organizations in California. Following the end of the war, she settled in San Francisco where she met her husband, Kenneth R. Dixon. They were married in Reno in 1929. Her husband died in 1959 and she came to Great Falls in 1960. Mrs. Dixon had been active in the Republican Women's Club and was a social member of the Elbon Club. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Helen P. Schrum of Great Falls. A brother, Edwin F. Patterson, and a half-brother, William G. Ragland, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Chimes, with Bishop Jackson Gilliam of Helena officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Fort Benton, July 2. ---- Parents: John F.
