Mr. and Mrs. Schleufer will make their home on one of Mr. Allermann's farms, 1 1/2 miles south of Byron. =========================================== The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, January 10, 1980; pg. 18 Ella Schleufer Ella Anna Katharina Schleufer was born September 1, 1892, at Byron, daughter of Fred and Emma Allerman (sic), and died December 31, 1979, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville at the age of 87 years, three months. She received her education in area public schools. On April 26, 1912 she was married to Otto Schleufer. To this union two daughters were born. They farmed in Republic County until moving to Byron in 1947. She was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Byron, and attended the church summer school. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons-in-law, Theodore and Arnold Tietjen; a brother, Louis Allerman (sic); a nephew, Kermit Allerman (sic). Survivors include two daughters, Lilly Tietjen and Anita Tietjen, both of Byron; seven grandchildren; Ted Tietjen, jr., Gladys Tietjen, Gloria Mason, Rosalie Clair, Donna Fintel, Martin Tietjen, Joseph Tietjen; thirteen great grandchildren. Services were held January 4 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Byron, conducted by Pastor B. F. Mirtz. Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at Byron.
