The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schleufer Sr. After the Ceremonies at the Church, the guests all repaired to the home of the bride where a sumptuous wedding supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Schleufer will make their home on one of Mr. Allermann's farms, 1 1/2 miles south of Byron. =========================================== The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, November 12, 1970; pg. 2 OTTO SCHLEUFER Otto Schleufer was born March 7, 1888 near Johnson, Neb., to Henry and Sophia Sudholz Schleufer and died November 3, 1970 at the Republic County hospital at the age of 82 years, 6 months, 3 days. He married Ella Allerman April 26, 1912. To this union were born two daughters. He lived in the Byron Community since 1908. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church (sic). He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and George; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Weers and Mrs. Adelia Torbeck. Survivors are: his wife; daughters, Lilly (Mrs. Theodore Tietjen, sr.) of Chester, Anita (Mrs. Arnold Tietjen) of Byron; brothers, Henry of Superior, Fred of Deshler, Martin of Byron, Ed of Fairbury; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, November 6, 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran church (sic) at Byron by Pastor B. J. Mirtz. Interment was in St. Paul cemetery (sic).
