Table Rock Argus, May 31, 1906. Mrs. Evan Davis, wife of a prominent farmer of Sheridan precinct, died at her home last Thursday, aged 47 years, 8 months and 15 days. She was born in Illinois, and was united in marriage to Mr. Davis September 8, 1880, and leaves a husband and three children to mourn her death. She was converted at a camp meeting held in this city over twenty years ago, and united with the M. E. church of Pawnee City, shortly after. The funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. M. Shepherd. Interment being in the Pawnee City Cemetery. ***************************************************************************************** THE NEBRASKA STATE JOURNAL (Lincoln, Nebraska)- Sunday, May 27, 1906- Page 36. DIED IN NEBRASKA MRS. ELLA DAVIS TABLE ROCK, Neb., May 26.- Mrs. Ella Davis, wife of Evan Davis, a prominent farmer living some four or five miles south of here, died Thursday night after a lingering illness of several months of dropsy, and was buried this afternoon at the Pawnee City cemetery. Mrs. Davis whose maiden name was Ella Stevens, was reared at Farmington, Ill., coming here many years since as the bride of Mr. Davis. She was forty=nine years of age and leaves beside her husband a daughter and two sons, all grown. (Thanks goes to Researcher Barbara Schwartz for sending this information for her memorial.)
