Read More	The Osceola Tribune, Osceola, Iowa July 19, 1932, Page 1 Ella Hall Jamison Ella Hall Jamison was born near Knoxville, Knox county, Illinois, March 29, 1862; died July 13, 1932, at Mercy hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. Her parents were Ashton Hall and Prascilla Westfall Hall. Her father enlisted in the army during the Civil war in Co. E., 83rd Illinois Infantry and died at Fort Donaldson, Tennesee. Two children were born to these parents, William and Ella. Some years later her mother was united in marriage to J. M. Wallace, soldier of the same company and regiment, making their home in Knox county, Illinois. In 1868, Ella with her parents moved to Clarke county, Iowa. After attending the district school at Hebron she went to high school two years at Osceola. Later she attended high school at Knoxville, Illinois, at the same time taking music at St. Mary's Musical Academy, after which she returned to her home in Iowa and taught music several years. On May 6, 1886, she united in marriage to Thomas B. Jamison. Two children were born to this union, Charles Sumner and Robert Ashton. Besides these she leaves to mourn her loss five brothers, G. W. Hall of Weldon, Iowa; Frank, John E., Ed. and Fred Wallace, all of Weldon, Iowa. Her sister Jennie E. Wade having died some years ago. She also leaves two little grand children which were very dear to her. She was never so happy as when little Robert and Roberta Jamison were left with her for a day. She leaves her daughter-in-law Neva Jamison, two brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law, a number of nieces and nephews besides a multitude of friends. She was a member of the Methodist church of Weldon, also a charter member of the Mothers' club. She lived a beautiful life that was well worthy of emulation. A life that beams sunshine into the lives of others. She lived for her family, her home, her relatives, and her friends. She was of a cheerful disposition and looked on the bright side of life. A kind hearted, lovable and noble woman had gone from among us. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church at Weldon. Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Miss Alta Nichols of Allerton. Interment was made in Hebron cemetery. Transcribed as published by Karen Brewer.
