Will use the month and day per the obituary, but will use the headstone inscription DOB year 1862, with caution. Ella, daughter of Levi and Volumnia Fawcett, aged 17 years, 9 months and 23 days. Loving, pure, tender and true, in life's morning Ella has passed away! The home made beautiful by loving hands, for her indwelling, is indeed made desolate; for she who was ever its life and its light has left it for her new come on high. But around its mourning altar her spirit will still linger, and in the solemn night, or in noon-day glare, her eyes will ever be upon the dear ones left behind, as she waits for their coming on the other shore.
