Description	:	AURORA — Ellen G. Weeks, 77, of Aurora, formerly of Scotia, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Memorial Community Care Center in Aurora. A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Scotia United Methodist Church. The Rev. Toni Nolze will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Scotia. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Ellen Geneva was born Sept. 14, 1939, on the family farm in the Wallace Creek area, east of Scotia, to George and Florence (Beck) Weeks. She was raised on the family farm and attended Scotia Public School. Ellen enjoyed the farm life, helping on the farm and taking long walks. Her family was the highlight of her life, especially babysitting her nieces and nephews. In 1996, Ellen moved into Scotia and resided at the Chalk Hills Manor. In August of 2001, Ellen moved to Aurora, where she made her home at Crossroads Court where she was very active in the community activities. She was involved at the Aurora Senior Center, United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Ellen was a member of the United Methodist Church and a past member of the Neighborly Neighbors Club in the Wallace Creek area. Ellen enjoyed traveling to various places to visit her family. She played Bingo, all kinds of games and puzzles. Survivors include four brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Judith Weeks of Aurora, James and Sandra Weeks of Narragansett, R.I., David and Mickey Weeks of Scotia, and Calvin and Joyce Weeks of Waverly; a special niece, Robin “Bobbi” Moellenberndt of Aurora; many special nieces and nephews; and a host friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, George Nathan Weeks; two brothers, Luther Weeks and Ethan Weeks; and three sisters-in-law, DeeAnn Weeks, Onetta Weeks and Joan Weeks.
